The World Remembrance Day, observed annually on the third Sunday of November, serves a poignant reminder of the devastating impact of road traffic accidents on individuals, families, and communities worldwide. It provides an opportunity for Governments, organizations, and individuals to come together to honor the memory of road traffic victims and raise awareness about the importance of road safety.
In alignment with the objectives of the World Remembrance Day, Defensive Driving Techniques and Personal Grooming training session for taxi operators was conduct on the 23 November 2024 organized by the Taxi Operators Welfare Fund.
Three key organizations, namely the Mauritius Institute of Training and Development (MITD), Mauritius Police Force (MPF) and Mauritius Fire and Rescue Service actively participated in a comprehensive training course aimed at enhancing safety awareness and professional development among taxi operators.
